Art glass diffuses the light a lot. This light is a beautiful work of art, but not much light will come through it. Light will be cast up and reflect from the ceiling, but this is not a bright pendant. It will not cast light below it.

The Pairpoint Corporation of New Bedford, Massachusetts created these blown out reverse painted shades from around 1907 to 1929.
Puffy shades are made by blowing glass into a dimensional mold. The shade is acid or sand finished, then hand painted on the inside surface so colors appear softly through the glass.
Glorious hydrangea blossoms in spring like shades are the subject of our Hydrangea Pairpoint fixture. An eggshell white pendant is hand painted with gossamer hydrangeas in lovely light blue and purple shades. Wisps of greenery have been painted throughout, which adds to the real feel of the design. The pendant hangs from a metal canopy, cast with a beautiful floral design and sturdy metal chains, all finished in antique bronze for a true period feel.
